TANOY MUKHERJEE
SCIENTIFIC ADVISOR

Dr. Tanoy Mukherjee is an accomplished researcher in the field of Conservation Biology. With nearly a decade of research experience, Dr. Mukherjee specializes in understanding the conservation ecology of vertebrate fauna across diverse ecosystems. His expertise spans geospatial modelling, climate change impact forecasting, and integrative habitat connectivity assessment.
Dr. Mukherjee has conducted extensive research in the Indian Himalayan Region, Dooars grasslands, and the semi-arid regions of South Bengal, focusing on species such as the Greater One-Horned Rhino, Asian Elephant, and Himalayan Brown Bear, among others. He is adept in wildlife monitoring techniques, including camera trapping and remote sensing, and has contributed significantly to scientific literature, enhancing the understanding of species conservation and management strategies.
In addition to his research, Dr. Mukherjee extensively works in the AI and ML application in conservation Biology and Human-Animal conflict mitigation through eco-acoustics and computer vision. He holds a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Calcutta and is a member of prestigious organizations like the IUCN and WCPA. His work has garnered recognition from both national and international bodies, reflecting his commitment to wildlife conservation and ecological sustainability.

SAMRAT CHAKRABARTY
CEO & DIRECTOR

Samrat Chakraborty is a dedicated advocate for the conservation of lesser carnivores in urban areas. He obtained his schooling from Ramakrishna Mission and completed his undergraduate studies at Scottish Church College. Following this, he pursued a master’s degree in Zoology with a specialization in entomology from Serampore College.
During his academic journey, Samrat exhibited a keen interest in butterflies, which became the focus of his dissertation. He actively participated in numerous workshops and seminars of national and international acclaim, including securing the Best Presenter Award at INTECOL’17 in China.
After completing his master’s degree, Samrat sought hands-on experience in DNA barcoding at the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), where he served as an intern for six months. Subsequently, he joined as a Junior Research Fellow in November 2017, contributing significantly to a major project funded by the West Bengal Biodiversity Board focused on the state animal, the Fishing Cat. His doctoral research delved into the ecology and threats facing Fishing Cats in Southern West Bengal.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Samrat has showcased his expertise in wildlife conservation through various publications and contributions to reputable newspapers and local media outlets. What truly distinguishes Samrat is his dedication to fostering connections between wildlife conservation efforts and local communities.
With a passion for photography and music, Samrat infuses creativity and empathy into his work, striving to cultivate harmony between humans and wildlife for a sustainable future.

Throughout his academic journey, Alloy has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology to address real-world challenges. His collaborative projects underscore his dedication to advancing the field and exploring interdisciplinary approaches.

KAMALIKA BHATTACHARYYA
MANAGEMENT ADVISOR

Kamalika brings extensive expertise in species recovery and the management of protected areas. Her professional dedication is centred on safeguarding endangered species and vulnerable ecosystems, with a particular focus on wetlands and lesser-known species.
As a fervent advocate for inclusive conservation practices, Kamalika actively engages indigenous communities and champions science-based strategies at the landscape level. Her academic credentials include a doctoral degree in Wildlife Science, complemented by a Post Graduate Diploma in Wildlife Forensics. She specializes in spatial ecology, integrated-systematics, and wildlife management.
Drawing from her rich background in research and ecological monitoring, Kamalika has garnered valuable experience from esteemed institutions such as the Wildlife Institute of India and the Zoological Survey of India.
Kamalika’s commitment to conservation extends globally, as evidenced by her role as a member of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management. Through her expertise and contributions, she actively supports conservation efforts on a national scale.

PAROMIT CHATTERJEE
BOARD ADVISOR

Mr. Paromit Chatterjee is a seasoned conservation biologist with a passion for safeguarding biodiversity and fragile ecosystems. With a wealth of experience spanning over a decade, Mr. Chatterjee has played pivotal roles in various conservation initiatives, demonstrating exceptional expertise and leadership in the field.
Mr. Chatterjee has been instrumental in driving wildlife & biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, nature-based solutions, climate-resilient interventions, and grassland in mountains and coastal mangrove restoration efforts. He is actively involved in global conservation initiatives as a member of the IUCN SSC Small Mammal Specialist Group and the IUCN SSC Asia Commission. His dedication to bridging science and community engagement underscores his role as a transformative leader in the field of biodiversity conservation. Mr. Chatterjee’s expertise in strategic planning, project management, remote sensing, and GIS, coupled with his passion for wildlife conservation, makes him a valuable asset to any conservation initiative.
